First off, I’d like to thank everyone who commented, e-mailed me, and shared links on Twitter and Facebook about my recent post “First drafting: Now 96% faster.” I’m so glad to hear that some of the techniques I shared are resonating with fellow writers. I’m planning to do a (much shorter) follow-up post soon on a wacky new revision technique I’ve been trying, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, I have two new blog posts up elsewhere today:
In “So much for a quiet summer” (at Emu’s Debuts), I talk about all of the progress that’s happened on All Four Stars (copyedits! first pass pages! cover!) during the supposedly “slow” publishing season of summer.
And in “GETTIN’ LUCKY: An Interview with Peggy Eddleman, Author of SKY JUMPERS,” (at OneFourKidLit) I talk to the terrific Peggy about her debut middle-grade post-apocalyptic adventure book, which I (and, more importantly, my MG-aged writing students!) couldn’t put down.
And tomorrow, right here, the Colorado is for Writers series will pick up again with Donna Cooner, author of the YA novel Skinny! See you there.
What a great picture of you.
